Il Progetto intende creare innovativi prodotti sostenibili basati sull’impiego di nuove miscele di filati, combinando le proprietà del cashmere, con quelle di altre fibre naturali. Si intende inoltre coniugare la realizzazione di prodotti sostenibili con la possibilità di applicazioni volte al contrasto delle epidemie, in particolare contro virus quali il Covid-19 e simili la cui trasmissione è dovuta allo scambio di droplet. L’attenzione non sarà soltanto rivolta alla definizione di blend innovativi, ma anche alla caratterizzazione e allo sviluppo di nuovi processi/trattamenti a basso impatto ambientale, finalizzati a valorizzare le potenzialità dei nuovi tessuti. Le tecnologie che saranno sviluppate saranno quindi applicate a prodotti eleganti quali a titolo di esempio sciarpe, con applicazioni DPI, con il massimo livello di protezione possibile.

The Project intends to create innovative sustainable products based on the use of new blends of yarns, combining the properties of cashmere with those of other natural fibers. Furthermore, the intention is to combine the creation of sustainable products with the possibility of applications aimed at contrasting epidemics, in particular against viruses such as Covid-19 and the like whose transmission is due to the exchange of droplets. Attention will not only be directed to the definition of innovative blends, but also to the characterization and development of new processes/treatments with low environmental impact, aimed at enhancing the potential of new fabrics. The technologies that will be developed will then be applied to elegant products such as scarves, with PPE, with the highest possible level of protection.
